He also mentioned that due to the side effects of negative interest rates, policymakers will continue to impose a higher threshold for further cuts in borrowing costs. “At this stage, we do not see any risk of deflation developing, and our projections indicate that inflation will surge in the coming quarters. The inflation dynamics in Switzerland are unlikely to be severely affected by the recent movements of the US dollar.”
