Jin10 reported on July 31 that in July of this year, the number of layoffs in the United States reached 62,075. This represents an astonishing increase of 140% compared to the same period last year. This is the highest number of layoffs recorded in July since 2020. This time seems to be different from the typically quiet summer months, as the average number of layoffs in July over the past four years has been around 23,575.
