Do Kwon and the U.S. government have agreed to postpone the next hearing to continue “constructive” discussions and avoid disputes before the trial. On June 9, Do Kwon’s lawyers and the government jointly requested to delay the hearing while discussing pre-trial motions and related issues.

Do Kwon’s legal team wishes to continue these discussions and believes that postponing will help them avoid some of the motions proposed before the court. Common motions include dismissing charges or requesting a change to a different court venue. Judge Engelmayer granted the postponement request on June 10 and rescheduled the hearing from June 12 to the week starting June 23.
