UBS Asia executives: High-net-worth clients are shifting from the US dollar to gold, Crypto Assets, and Chinese assets.

According to Gate.io News bot, as reported by the Financial Associated Press, Amy Lo, the co-head of Asia Wealth Management at UBS Group, revealed at an event in Hong Kong that the bank’s high-net-worth clients are gradually reducing their holdings in US dollar assets and are increasing their allocations to gold, Crypto Assets, and Chinese assets.

In an interview with Yvonne Man, Lo stated: “Gold is very popular right now.” She pointed out that the tense Sino-American trade relations have led investors to begin adjusting their originally “quite US-centric” asset allocations. In addition, investors are also allocating more funds to Crypto Assets, commodities, and alternative assets. Lo added that volatility is sure to continue.
