Objective

This guide will walk you through how to send a Gate Gift Card to recipients using three different methods on Gate App.

Steps

Step 1: Access the Gift Card Feature

  1. Open the Gate App and navigate to the [Pay] section.
  2. Select [Gift Card] from the available options.

Step 2: Select Your Gift Card and Sending Method

  1. Choose the gift card you want to send from your available cards.
  2. Click on [Gift] to proceed.
  3. You will see three available sending methods.

Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Sending Method

Method A: Send Gift Cards via Redemption Code

  1. Click on [Send Gift Cards].
  2. Copy the redemption code displayed.
  3. Send the redemption code to your recipient through your preferred communication channel.

Method B: Send to Email Address

  1. Click on [To Email address].
  2. Enter the recipient's email address.
  3. Enter the giver's name.
  4. Confirm and send.

Method C: Send to Gate Account

  1. Click on [To Gate account].
  2. Enter the recipient's Gate UID, email, or mobile number.
  3. Enter the giver's name.
  4. Confirm and send.

  • For Method C (To Gate account), ensure the recipient is a registered Gate user before sending.
  • Once a gift card is sent, the transaction cannot be reversed. Please verify all recipient information carefully before confirming.
  • Redemption codes should be kept secure and shared only with intended recipients.

Q1: Can I cancel a gift card after sending it?

A: No, once a gift card is sent, the transaction cannot be reversed or canceled. Please ensure all recipient information is correct before confirming.

Q2: What if the recipient doesn't have a Gate account?

A: If you choose Method C (To Gate account), the recipient must be a registered Gate user. For recipients without a Gate account, use Method A (redemption code) or Method B (email address) instead.

Q3: How long is the gift card redemption code valid?

A: Gift card validity periods vary by card type. Please check the specific terms and expiration date of your gift card before sending.

Q4: Can I send the same gift card to multiple recipients?

A: No, each gift card can only be sent to one recipient. Once redeemed or sent, it cannot be used again.
