Some brothers are asking why they don't push it to 1u in one go since it's already at 0.8. The reason is probably that originally they could make 200 million with an investment of 1 million, but now they can only make 20 million. No matter how many shorts there are, if they don't get liquidated, it's just numbers. On the contrary, pushing to a higher price will only give more shorts at high levels free money. You're saying it easily, but with short positions, if the position is too small you won't make much money, and if it's too large you're afraid of getting liquidated, unless you have enough margin! Plus some sketchy market makers will charge small shorts massive fees while giving handouts to large longs. I've seen it where opening a 1000U short gets charged 20+ U per hour in fees, just bleeding you dry.
