[Multiple Institutions Submit Over 20 Crypto ETF Applications on the Same Day] Multiple institutions, including REX Shares and Osprey Funds, have submitted at least 21 applications for crypto-related ETFs to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), covering various tokens and staking products such as SUI, BCH, and HYPE. Defiance ETFs also submitted applications for leveraged funds tracking crypto assets as well as TSL and Amazon. This batch of applications has emerged against the backdrop of the SEC approving three exchanges to modify the listing rules for commodity trust shares. The rule change exempts the relevant ETFs from the 19b-4 review process, significantly shortening the product listing time. Bloomberg analyst James Seyfarth stated on social media: "The situation is getting crazy." Despite the regulatory environment becoming friendlier since President Trump took office, and some of the earlier submitted ETF applications facing approval deadlines in the coming weeks, the current process has stalled due to the U.S. government's shutdown starting October 2. According to informed sources, the SEC is likely to suspend processing the registration statements for Crypto Assets ETFs before the government resumes operations.

SUI-1.82%
BCH-1.86%
HYPE-1.05%
