"Investment advisors" are the largest buying group for cryptocurrency spot ETFs, indicating that capital flow is shifting from speculation to long-term, portfolio-driven allocation.

On August 28, according to data shared by Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart, investment advisors "dominating the known holders of Ethereum ETFs" invested over $1.3 billion, or 539,000 Ether, in the second quarter, a 68% rise compared to the previous quarter. The same situation has been observed with the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF. "Advisors are now the largest holders," holding 161,000 Bitcoins worth over $17 billion. In response, Vincent Liu, Chief Investment Officer of Kronos Research, stated that this data indicates a shift in fund flows from speculation to long-term, portfolio-driven allocations. "As the largest holders, their strategic positioning provides deeper liquidity and a lasting foundation for the integration of crypto assets into the global market." Additionally, as more advisors adopt Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, crypto assets will be recommended and recognized as long-term diversification tools within traditional portfolios, complementing stocks, bonds, and other mainstream assets. Reports indicate that as regulatory frameworks come into effect, the number of financial advisors dealing with crypto assets may surge. In July of this year, Fox Business News predicted that trillions of dollars could flood into the market through financial advisors. (Cointelegraph)
