Golden Shell AE MAXII Server Unboxing Review: Just how powerful is this 540MH/s ZK monster?

As of mid-2025, the Aleo track is already heating up. In this favorable trend, Goldshell has finally launched its latest flagship product - AE MAXII, which has a clear positioning and focuses on Aleo mining, equipped with the zkSNARK algorithm, with a default hash rate of up to 540MH/s±5%. Today, editor Li Yi will unbox and test this "heavy weapon" to see how its performance, noise, and power consumption are.
📦 Unboxing: Sturdy shell, compact structure
The machine packaging still follows the classic gold shell hard cardboard style, providing adequate protection. Upon opening, you can see:
Overall machine dimensions: 264 x 200 x 290 mm
Weight: approximately 12.45 kg
Comes with power cable and documentation, the interface is clear at a glance.
The entire machine uses a metal shell and industrial-grade craftsmanship, making it sturdy and durable. The front and rear dual fan design features a cooling system that looks very powerful at first glance, with a measured fan speed reaching up to 7000 RPM, which will be detailed later.
⚙️ Core parameters: explosive performance, not low power consumption
The official standard parameters are as follows:
Default Hash Rate: 540 MH/s ±5%
Power: 3200W±5%
Energy Efficiency Ratio: 5.93 J/M (Joules/Mega)
Algorithm: zkSNARK
Supported currency: Aleo
Voltage support: 185~285V wide voltage, 16A cable interface
Network: Only supports Ethernet
The actual test data basically conforms to the official description. It reaches a stable state within 35 minutes after power on, with very little fluctuation in computing power, consistently between 530~545MH/s.
🔊 Noise & Cooling Performance: Strong wind, but not chaotic
Don't be fooled by its size; the wind power is quite strong. The two high-speed fans allow it to reach a noise level of nearly 85 decibels during operation. It is recommended to use a soundproof box or an independent room if the windows are not opened indoors.
However, the high rotation speed also brings about excellent heat dissipation performance. Even after running continuously for 6 hours, the machine's temperature remains within a reasonable range, the heatsink area is not hot to the touch, and the airflow design is reasonable with no dead spots.
🧠 Summary of user experience: A bit wild, definitely worth a try.
After using it for a few days, I would like to summarize a few personal experiences:
Stable computing power is the biggest advantage, basically running at full power immediately upon plugging in, not sensitive to voltage.
The requirements for the power grid are slightly higher, and it is recommended to use it with a 16A line to avoid tripping.
The cooling performance is excellent, but the noise should not be underestimated. It is not recommended to place it in the bedroom or living room;
The zkSNARK algorithm optimization is good, the Aleo project is currently hot, and the payback period has potential.
The finished product is quite solidly constructed, making it one of the most industrially designed products in the history of Jinbei.
🧾 Conclusion: Aleo heavy weapons, worth collecting
In the current context of a thriving Aleo server market, the Jinbei AE MAXII stands out with its high computing power, high efficiency, and stable output, making it the top choice for mainstream Aleo mining players. It is especially suitable for users with independent space who seek stable returns and is worth serious consideration.
If you're also ready to enter Aleo, this "little cannon" might just be your starting point. #aleo

This power consumption is nothing compared to the Glacier, so I went with the Glacier after all. It’s a bit expensive, but whatever.

3200w for 540MH? the iceriver ones only consume like 500W for 300 MH and are silent , goldshell failed on this thing….
