Ethereum announced “trillion-dollar security”

The Ethereum Foundation has presented the Trillion Dollar Security project — “a public ecosystem attempt to enhance the security of Ethereum with the aim of transitioning the entire world to blockchain.”

0. Announcing the Trillion Dollar Security (1TS) initiative: an ecosystem-wide effort to upgrade Ethereum’s security to help bring the world onchain.

The goal of the “trillion-dollar security” initiative is to achieve the following conditions:

• billions of people will be able to safely store on-chain under the protection of Ethereum over $1000;
• for companies, institutions, and governments this amount will reach $1 trillion within a single application or smart contract.

The implementation of Trillion Dollar Security includes three main components:

• mapping the landscape of network strengths and attack vectors across all technological layers, which will help focus on specific areas;
• implementation of improvements in priority areas identified during the assessment process;
• more effective communications on Ethereum security issues involving a wide range of specialists and users

The project will be led by Fredrik Svantes and Josh Stark as co-chairs from the Ethereum Foundation.

In addition, the three managers of Trillion Dollar Security will be:

• founder of Security Alliance under the nickname samczsun;
• Founder and Director of Sigma Prime Mehdi Zeruali;
• co-founder of Etherealize Zak Obront.
