On September 3, 2025, Gate announced the official launch of the Ondo Zone and opened spot trading. In collaboration with Ondo Global Markets, this new section brings traditional financial stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) onto the blockchain, enabling users to trade directly with USDT. The first batch includes 26 tokenized stocks and ETFs, such as Apple (AAPLON), Tesla (TSLAON), NVIDIA (NVDAON), QQQON, SPYON, and more.
This milestone marks a critical advance in Gate’s strategy for compliant asset tokenization, providing global investors with greater access, efficiency, and flexibility to participate in traditional financial markets.
Distinct from conventional broker models, the Ondo Zone utilizes real-world asset tokenization. Each token is fully backed by the underlying security and securely held by a regulated custody broker. Key advantages include:
These features provide users with the same economic exposure as traditional securities, combined with the added efficiency and transparency of blockchain technology.
To celebrate the Ondo Zone’s launch, Gate is hosting the Ondo CandyDrop event. The event begins at 12:00 (UTC+8) on September 4, 2025. All users trading within the Ondo Zone will have an opportunity to share in a pool of 384,615 ONDO tokens.
Starting September 3, the Ondo Zone will gradually open for deposits and trading, covering some of the world’s most prominent stocks and ETFs:
